I have made it to NYC and with the help of Z I was able to move in. I met my flatmates; they seem very chill. Two of them go to SVA (School of Visual Arts) and one goes to Parsons. My impressions of them were very good. They seem like very nice kids. I'm one of the older ones...Two are 20 and the other is 23...Either way I'm not too worried about problems. I'll probably never be home anyways since I'm going to be working full time. But next week is my trial period. Hopefully everything goes well and I don't get kicked out....I'm apprehensive because of the uncertainty but I am SUPER excited! I get to pursue something I am passionate about which is fashion. To be in on of the fashion capitals of the world is overwhelming. At least when I went to school I knew I dressed well but in the real world I need to step my game up. I see this as a huge learning experience in my own style and seeing how other people interpret style. Either way it is going to be awesome. Until my first day of work I am going to keep going through different variations of work clothes options...fashion casual was the criteria given to me...
I am at Z's house since my place doesn't have internet yet. I need to study my routes before the first day of work so I don't get lost, which I am notorious for... Also, I get to eat DIM SUM with the G family! HUZZA!!!!
with love from the east coast,
roger
